Dr. Diana Joyner-Mattox

Veterinarian

Dr. Diana Joyner-Mattox graduated from Zephyrhills High School in 1986 and then enrolled at Pasco Hernando Community College, where she earned an Associate in Arts degree while working full-time as a veterinary assistant. Dr. Diana transferred to the University of Florida as a Junior and graduated in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, and continued on to earn her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995.

In May of 1997, she started her own small animal practice in a small converted home with 1 employee. The practice has grown in leaps and bounds over the last 22 years and expanded into a new 3600 sq-foot state-of-the-art facility in December of 2003.

Dr. Joyner-Mattox’s family includes her husband Casey, stepdaughter Lynsey, one dog named Brandy, five rescue horses, and five rescued cats. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at home, traveling, hiking, scuba diving, horseback riding, and reading.

Dr. Joyner-Mattox was a member of the Pasco County Animal Services Advisory Committee for more than 10 years. She was the Founder and President of Spay Pasco, a non-profit spay/neuter assistance organization, and was awarded the Gold Star Award by the Florida Veterinary Medical Association for her animal welfare advocacy in Pasco County.

September 18, 2010 – Dr. Diana Mattox was awarded The Judy Schwartz Humanitarian Award by the Humane Society of the Nature Coast. This honor is “awarded to an Individual, Organization or Company who has made a significant impact on animal welfare locally or nationally,” and in 2014, Dr. Mattox received the Distinguished Alumni award from Pasco Hernando State College.

Dr. Carolina Neves

Veterinarian

Dr. Carolina Neves was born in Brazil and raised in the U.S.  She speaks fluent English, Portuguese, and Spanish.  She attended the University of Kentucky for her undergraduate degree and her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross School of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery and dermatology. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, rowing, and spending time with her family and her pets. She has two cats: Kyle and Jolene and two dogs: Khloe and Elton.

Devin

Practice Manager

Devin was born and raised in the Tampa area. She is a graduate of USF with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. From an early age, she knew she wanted to work with animals and started working as a veterinary technician in 2012.

Devin currently lives in Land O’Lakes and shares a home with her husband, their rambunctious son, and their pets.

When she is not working, Devin loves to spend time with her family and do anything outdoors, especially kayaking and camping. Devin is currently enrolled in school to obtain her Veterinary Technician certification.

Stephanie

Practice Manager

Stephanie relocated from Amarillo, Texas, to London, England, when she was just 3 years old. After studying and obtaining a degree in Fashion Design and Technology, Stephanie decided to pursue her other passion – animals. Growing up, she was always surrounded by animals, from hamsters to horses, and greatly enjoys being able to greet all our clients and their fur babies when they come in.

Stephanie now resides in Dade City with her husband, daughter, and an ever-growing squad of cats. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys traveling, going to concerts/festivals, reading, and drinking coffee.

Veterinary Technician

Abby was born and raised in the Dade City Area and has always been surrounded by animals (large and small!)

It is safe to say she is an animal lover, as she currently shares her home with cows, donkeys, goats, horses, dogs, cats, squirrels, and a parrot!

Abby will be graduating in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Applied Behavioral Analysis.

Her childhood dream is to establish a therapeutic riding center for disabled children and be able to share her love of horses.

In her spare time, Abby enjoys kayaking with Waylon (her Great Pyrenees), horseback riding, and practicing trick riding.

Veterinary Technician

Lisa was born and raised in the Dade City area.   Lisa began her adventure in the veterinary world with hands-on experience at the age of 14 years old.

She has attended several lectures from anesthesiology to fear free practice and strives to excel in the veterinary field in any way possible.

Lisa’s hobbies include poetry, the outdoors and spending time with her many four-legged babies.

Veterinary Technician

Chas was born and raised in Colorado and relocated to Florida for the sunshine and more opportunities in 2021. From a young age, she knew she wanted to work with animals. She is currently studying in a Vet Tech program, and her goal is to earn her degree in Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys time with her church, spending time at home, video games, traveling, snowboarding, hiking, and camping.

She currently has one dog and two cats that love to come on adventures and keep her on her feet!
